HOHS-Biker-Vacation

Sunrise and sunset photos captured by: The Sarge from aboard the ship

My Favorite Biker Vacation

HOHS-Biker-Vacation, Hogs on the High Seas supports kidney dialysis. Unfortunately, we can't bring our bikes on board the cruise ship. (The Captain Has his on the ship). Only vendors and bike builders are allowed to bring bikes on the cruise ship. You can rent Harleys on some of the Islands we visit. Yet, this does not make the cruise any less fun and it is for biker enthusiasts or relatives and close friends of biker enthusiasts. We do only book 2/3 the ship. That's the best part, traveling with 2,000 Bikers.

There are other biker vacations, too. Sometimes these are thrown together by enthusiasts. Other times they are held by small organizations or by motorcycle companies. Yet, there are other biker vacations that even support good causes. HOHS-Biker-Vacation is Hogs on the High Seas is one that sail for a cause.

There are many games and competitions that are played on board the cruise ship and on the Islands that involve motorcycles or even winning a motorcycle or motorcycle accessories. Reservations must be made through Dean and Debbie Anderson in order to qualify to participate and be eligible for these events and prizes. HOHS cruise bookings can be made through other travel agencies, but doing this will make you ineligible for any prizes, rallies, or other Hogs on the High Seas (HOHS) events.

In 2005, HOHS went to the Caribbean and Alaska. In 2006 and 2007, HOHS went to the Caribbean. For 2008, a cruise to the Mexican Riviera is scheduled for April 13-20 and a cruise to Western Caribbean for November 2-9. For 2009, a cruise to the Mexican Riviera is schedule for March 29-5 and also Western Caribbean in November.

These trips are also great opportunities for dialysis patients. Fourteen patients get the opportunity to join us on the HOGS-Biker-Vacation cruises. It is basically first come first serve as long as it can be proven that they are Biker fans or a friend or relative of a biker fan. The patients themselves get to go on the cruise for free while all medical treatments are paid for from the donations from HOHS prior cruises. This is often the only vacation kidney dialysis patients can participate in because the donations Dean and Debbie Anderson collect supply the medical staff and equipment so they can travel, HOHS covers the cabin and $400.00 spending money.

Luggage OnLine

Of course, All biker enthusiasts who want to enjoy a cruise and help by donating funds to kidney dialysis and book the cruise through Dean and Debbie Anderson are welcome. The cruise price includes all the meals, accommodations, off shore parties, giveaway shows are included. They have poker walks on the Island and a t-shirt swap(BIG t-shirt swap the last one I attended was 900 Bikers), bingo on board the ship with prizes that reach over $6,000.00 and every cruise they giveaway a Custom Chopper and a Custom Trike. The give away bikes are built and donated as well, some of the vendors who have built and donated parts for the giveaway bikes are aboard the ship with us. This is a vacation of a life time for all bikers and Dialysis Patients.

This is the HOHS Belly Flop contest.

Children are allowed on HOHS-Biker-Vacation as well, this is at your discretion. We mix with the general population on board so the children are not subjected to nudity or foul language. Dean and Debbie run a Classy Operation. We have cruised with HOHS 3 times now and have made this vacation a tradition. We used to ride to Florida and Virginia to all the Major Event Motorcycle Rallies, I see the same vendors in Far away places as to in my surrounding States. This is why we stay local for the Motorcycle rallies and save $$ for the HOHS-Biker-Vacation (Rally on a Ship)biker Cruise.

The quilt you see behind the MR 2008 Giveaway Bike was created from All the 2009 Mexican Riviera T-Shirts and donated to auction off at one of are nightly giveaway shows. The money will be used to bring Dialysis Patient on board the next HOHS Hogs on the High Seas Cruise this will be a Western Caribbean Cruise in November 2008.

All HOHS money raised to help support kidney dialysis is done through the events such as the poker walks, 50/50, and raffles. HOHS-Biker-Vacation is not support or affiliated with Harley Davidson or H.O.G. although the majority of cruise participants ride Harleys. (HOHS defines "hog" as any heavy bike, no matter what country of origin or brand of bike). I enjoy seeing up close and personal how my donations are spent.

So, all you HarleyChicks and HarleyGuys if looking for a vacation to join with other bikers, and a good opportunity to meet Bikers around the world this would be an option, join Hogs on the High Seas to have a good time and support a good cause.
